Honey

Honey is a food found in Bountiful and taken into a ship. A land was called Bountiful “because of its much fruit and also wild honey,” and its people beheld the sea called Irreantum (1 Nephi 17:5). On the morrow after preparations, a group went down into a ship with “honey in abundance,” fruits, meat, seeds, and other things brought with them (1 Nephi 18:6).

Honey is joined with butter and milk in statements about eating and buying. “Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil and to choose the good” (2 Nephi 17:15). An invitation says, “buy milk and honey, without money and without price” (2 Nephi 26:25).
