Linen

Linen is a material used in cloth and apparel. Nephi saw “gold, and silver, and silks, and scarlets, and fine-twined linen, and all manner of precious clothing” (1 Nephi 13:7). Fine linen also appears with “the glasses, and the fine linen, and hoods, and the veils” (2 Nephi 13:23).

King Zeniff caused women to “spin, and toil, and work, and work all manner of fine linen, yea, and cloth of every kind, that we might clothe our nakedness” (Mosiah 10:5). In the sixty and fourth year, women “did toil and spin, and did make all manner of cloth, of fine-twined linen and cloth of every kind, to clothe their nakedness” (Helaman 6:13). People “did have silks, and fine-twined linen; and they did work all manner of cloth, that they might clothe themselves from their nakedness” (Ether 10:24).
