Political Liberty is the condition King Mosiah desired for the land, in which “every man may enjoy his rights and privileges alike.” He sought an end to inequality among his people and desired “that this land be a land of liberty” while they lived and inherited it (Mosiah 29:32).
Captain Moroni made the title of liberty by writing, “In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children,” on a piece of his rent coat. He prayed for “the blessings of liberty to rest upon his brethren” while Christians remained to possess the land (Alma 46:12-13).
