Precious Stones are valuables sought by a people among whom Ammon and his brethren preached. Their hearts were set upon “riches, or upon gold and silver, and precious stones” (Alma 17:14).
That people delighted in robbing and plundering the Nephites, and they sought to obtain precious stones by murdering and plundering rather than laboring with their own hands (Alma 17:14).
