Prison of Ammonihah is the prison in the land of Ammonihah where officers confined Alma and Amulek after they were delivered to be “cast into prison” (Alma 14:17). After three days, lawyers, judges, priests, and teachers “came in unto the prison” and questioned them, but Alma and Amulek answered nothing (Alma 14:18). Their captors withheld food and water, took their clothes, and bound them “with strong cords, and confined in prison” (Alma 14:22).
On the twelfth day, the chief judge of Ammonihah, with teachers and lawyers, entered the prison where Alma and Amulek were bound (Alma 14:23). The earth shook, “the walls of the prison were rent in twain,” and the chief judge, lawyers, priests, and teachers who had smitten Alma and Amulek were slain by the falling walls (Alma 14:27). Alma and Amulek came forth unhurt and loosed from their bands, while the prison had fallen to the earth (Alma 14:28).
