Sexual Transgression is conduct condemned as committing whoredoms and adultery. Jacob said that people “seek to excuse themselves in committing whoredoms, because of the things which were written concerning David, and Solomon his son” (Jacob 2:23). The Lord declared, “they shall not commit whoredoms, like unto them of old” (Jacob 2:32-35).
Jacob told the men that they had “broken the hearts of your tender wives, and lost the confidence of your children, because of your bad examples before them” (Jacob 2:32-35). A commandment states that “whosoever looketh on a woman, to lust after her, hath committed adultery already in his heart” (3 Nephi 12:27-30). The law provided punishment “if he committed adultery he was also punished” (Alma 30:10).
