Ziff of King Noah's Court

Ziff of King Noah’s Court is a material taxed by King Noah from his people. He laid “a fifth part of their ziff” as part of a tax on what they possessed (Mosiah 11:3).

King Noah used ziff in ornamenting “many elegant and spacious buildings.” He ornamented the buildings with woodwork and “all manner of precious things, of gold, and of silver, and of iron, and of brass, and of ziff, and of copper” (Mosiah 11:8).
