Horse

Horses are animals found among beasts in the forests of the land of promise. Those journeying in the wilderness found “the cow and the ox, and the ass and the horse, and the goat and the wild goat” among animals “for the use of men” (1 Nephi 18:25).

The people of Nephi tilled the land and raised “all manner of grain, and of fruit, and flocks of herds.” They also had “flocks of all manner of cattle of every kind, and goats, and wild goats, and also many horses” (Enos 1:21).

King Lamoni commanded servants to prepare his horses and chariots before travel to the land of Nephi. Ammon “made ready the horses and the chariots for the king and his servants” before going in to the king (Alma 18:12).
